With my wife Linda & a friend Melanie we traveled to Kerala for a wedding of a young friend in Kochi. We wanted a company engaged in ethical travel. Naaz, now with TALES India Tours. Naaz crafted an itinerary that was in accord with our values and interests: interests in art, music and culture. We are vegetarian so all the meals for the 15 days in Kerala were provided with fine cooking at “home stays” that gave us an opportunity to stay with local families. Traveling in August allowed us to learn about the holiday of Onam. The holiday celebrated by all in Kerala, Hindus, Muslims and Christians. We were pleased to visit several Jewish heritage sites and learn about their lives. Visiting tribal villages in the eastern mountains was special.
